A terrible war in Ukraine is unfolding in front of our eyes. Candle of Grace Charity has helped people in the Ukrainian region for the last 10 years and never before have they needed our help more. Women and children are fleeing and thousands are at the Polish Border. There are elderly who can’t leave or don’t want to leave. The children and teachers in the Orphanages of Chernobyl area are scared to leave as they are afraid their buses will be bombed. People are in dire straits and need food and water at the border. Candle of Grace wants to help but we need your help. We are in constant communication with the schools, orphanages, disabled and the elderly we support.
Currently we are working round the clock on sending trucks with humanitarian aid to the Polish border, where they are met and distributed by our volunteers both at the border and inside Ukraine. We need funds for basics such as food, water, blankets, medical supplies. Please support us by clicking on the Donate button, sending money by Paypal to firstname.lastname@example.org or sending a cheque made payable to “Candle of Grace” to Candle of Grace, 32 Summerfield, Castlebar, Co Mayo (this is the registered company address).
We receive a lot of phone calls, texts and emails about how people can help. It is so heartwarming to see such an amazing response from the local community! However, please understand that it is not always possible to reply in good time to all of them, or to reply at all. Please bear with us. We hugely appreciate all the help we are getting, our volunteers are doing absolutely incredible work!
