What makes you happy?..
For us it is definitely – volunteering with children.
Children, who are bored at home during their summer holidays, children from Chernobyl area and other areas of Ukraine affected by the war, come to us and enjoy their time, participating in our Summer Camp program.
The varity of activities our team offers to them – is just amazing. Time runs so quickly, as there is not a minute to waste. Our team this year is more widespread than ever, covering more countries than ever before. Ireland, Ukraine, Belarus, Poland and U.S.A. natives gathered in Mayo to work together and get more smiles on children`s faces.
We do arts and crafts, gardening, outdoor and indoor gaming, music,cooking and much more. 10 day program includes Friendship Day, Peace Day, Stay Safe Day, Health Day, Smart Living Day, Sustainable Living Day,Creativity Day, and Volunteering Day. In a nice friendly atmosphere children gain knowledge from our fantastic volunteers. There is no time and no need for mobile phones and other gadgets, as we are enjoying our time together. The most important, our voluteers show and explain how lucky we were to get a shelter from the war in our beautiful Mayo, get fresh air and improve health.
As a reward to all of our volunteers and to express their appreciation for such a great summer time all the children box aid for sending to those who are in need and respond to some of the appeals from their homeland. We are very happy and proud to witness such great young members in our community.
