A wonderful Christmas present from the Order of Malta!

By December 23, 2020February 23rd, 2021No Comments

Order of Malta gave an amazing Christmas present to Candle of Grace. Two ambulances were kindly donated to the Charity by Cashel unit in Co. Tipperary and Killarney unit in Co. Kerry. These ambulances will be donated to the Ukrainian Chernobyl area. At the moment, personnel are driving old vehicles in disrepair that bring patients and elderly to the hospital. The patients have to endure very uncomfortable journeys. These ambulances from the Order of Malta will provide much needed comfort and assistance to this region. This really is a ‘Godsend’ to these people and this deprived region. Candle of Grace are endlessly thankful for the generosity of the Order of Malta and as the ambulances will provide huge assistance and support to the sick and vulnerable in the area. We would like to express our sincere gratitude to the Limerick unit which has given a lot of equipment, along with the Nenagh and Thurles units in Co. Tipperary and all the members of staff involved in this good cause:

Asst. Cmdr. Tony O’Mara, Regional Director, South West

Capt. Carmel Peacock , Asst. Regional Director, South West

Capt. Joe Looney, Deputy Officer in Charge Killarney

Vol. Michael Fleming, Volunteer Killarney

Lt. Nora O’Loughlin, Regional Admin Nenagh

Lt. Jim Keogh, Officer in Charge, Limerick &  Lt. Dick Hennessy, Officer in Charge Cashel
